I started experimenting with drawing while taking an oil-painting class at a local college a few years ago. I had always been curious about painting and decided to sign up for a continuing education class. I created these drawings over a span of a few months, but since then, I haven’t returned to it. Some drawings took several days, while others took just a few minutes. You can guess which ones took the longest. The cat is one of my favorites. When I saw a photo on Instagram, the cat looked like it was ready to jump off the page, and that’s how I wanted to depict it—alive. There are also two drawings of well-known tennis players.
