I first met Lynn when I stayed at her Airbnb in Los Angeles in 2018. I was instantly drawn to her kindness and the deep care she showed for her brother, Bob. Over the years, we kept in touch and became close friends.

When Lynn mentioned she was writing a book about her and Bob’s life, I immediately jumped at the idea of documenting their story in a visual form.

In the summer of 2024, I flew to Los Angeles and spent several days filming Lynn and Bob as they went about their daily routines – including the highlight of Bob’s day: visiting the ice cream shop.

Spending that time with Bob, I was moved by how happy he was and how much patience he showed, even as we packed our days with filming, walks in the park, trips to the beach and garden, playing soccer, and visits to the playground. The days were long, but Bob never stopped offering his bright smile.
